morning dear pupils! I’m glad to see you. How are you today?

pupils answer using their gestures)

And now we are going to describe the weather. (watching of the presentation
“It’s rainy!”) Look at the window! What is the weather like today? Is it rainy?
Is it cloudy? Is it windy? Is it snowy? Is it cold?

Game
“What is missing” (There are the pictures of animals on the blackboard)

“Hot seat” (One of the pupils stands in the middle of the classroom. Other
children help him/her to guess what the picture is. If the answer is right, the
class clap their hands, if the answer is wrong, they stamp their feet.)

We are going to have two teams, the team of tigers and the team of lions (Children
choose the name of the team. Teacher shows the card with an animal. One right
answer is a point.)

1,2. T: Good morning dear students. I’m glad to see
you. Today you have an unusual lesson. We are going to speak about traditions
and customs of English speaking countries and Ukraine. Besides, we are going to
revise Gerund and Infinitive and do some exercises. So, let’s start our work.
3. T: Every
nation and every country has its own traditions and customs. Traditions make a
nation special. We can’t imagine any nation without its traditions and customs.
Traditions of every nation are closely connected with its holidays.
So, let’s do our first task. Do you like riddles? I think you do. So, let’s try to
guess what holiday is in the picture? When is it celebrated?

T: And what is your favorite holiday? Why do you like
it the most?

“Customs and traditions of Ukraine”. Please be very careful. In a few minutes
you’ll do some tasks and make the dialogues. Jane, you can start with your
presentation. Please come to the blackboard.
T: Let’s work in a group. I’ll give you some words;
please put them in the right order to make a sentence.

2. Traditions of Ukraine are closely connected with its
cuisine.
3. Ukrainian cuisine is simple and complex at the same time.
4. It is simple, because many products are grown near
home and complex because almost every dish is handmade.

as much as Ukrainians do.
6. Throwing away bread is equal to crime in Ukraine.
7. So, Ukrainian cuisine is an important part of our
culture.

is Ukrainian, another Englishman. Discuss the traditions of your countries. You
have 3 minutes. Your time is up. Who would like to start?
